  The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, SCA, is an association of members. SCA aims at fighting poverty, supporting economic and development and strengthening democratic development and human rights. The main mission is to implement and develop rehabilitation programes in rural areas within the sectors of education, health, disability where gender is mainstreamed.

The Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) is an apolitical, and non-confessional international relief agency created in Afghanistan.  ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or socio-economic crises, and to accompany them towards a better future. ACTED currently implements around 150 projects a year in 23 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Central America. Our interventions seek to cover the multiple aspects of humanitarian and development crises through a multidisciplinary approach adapted to each context.

  ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency registered in The Hague working in over 45 countries across Asia, Africa, Caribbean and Americas. It has focused its work on women rights, right to education, right to food, right to human security during disasters and emergencies, just and democratic governance and HIV and AIDS.  The agency is actively involved in gender mainstreaming, research and advocacy as a strategy to achieve wider impact on the causes of poverty, which include injustice and inequality.

ActionAid’s mission is to work with poor and excluded people to eradicate poverty and injustice. In an effort to realize this mission, ActionAid espouses the values of mutual respect; equity and justice; honesty and transparency; solidarity; courage of conviction; independence and humility.

Many people we work with face not only poverty, but also exclusion and discrimination. They include widows and orphans, former child soldiers, ethnic minorities, tribal peoples and those fighting landlessness, natural disasters, modern slavery and HIV/AIDS.
